About: Nicole Warne, the brains behind Gary Pepper Girl, became engaged to her long-term partner, talented photographer Luke Shadbolt, in Tokyo in 2015. The pair, who have been together for 11 years, tied the knot in front of 90 of their closest friends and family, and we had the honour of helping bring to life this very special celebration.

Location: Wanaka, New Zealand.

Style Notes: Nicole had a beautiful vision. Each area had different colour schemes but needed to feel like they were telling a cohesive story.

While all the florals were stunning, the window installation by My Violet became the focal point. It took over 600 white roses, 300 stems of white hydrangea, and hours of work to create. Accompanied by an incredible view of Lake Wanaka and the hall was covered in fairy lights it was a true vision brought to life.

Favourite Details: A custom swing crafted by a local artisan and covered in flowers, handmade Italian crepe flowers, which served as a backdrop to the photo booth, and Japanese fans that were designed by the groom as a nod to the bride’s heritage.
